Hacienda el Paraiso

• A tan sólo 36 kilómetros de Cali y al pie de los cerros de la Cordillera Occidental se encuentra uno de los lugares más visitados por el turismo extranjero dentro de lo que es el Valle del Cauca: la Hacienda El Paraíso. Esta antigua finca hoy funciona a modo de Casa Museo y es conocida por ser el escenario de la famosa novela María, de Jorge Isaacs, uno de los referentes del género romántico latinoamericano.

• A partir de la historia de la novela ha nacido este museo que rinde homenaje al libro y se mencionan fragmentos de María, la protagonista de la historia.La antigua casa fue construida entre 1816 y 1828 por Víctor Cabal, un ganadero oriundo de Buga y ex alcalde de la ciudad de Cali. En 1828, la hacienda fue comprada por el padre de Jorge Isaacs y es por eso que la mayo parte de la novela transcurre en este escenario.

CERRO DE LAS TRES CRUCES: Estas gigantescas cruces protegen la ciudad y desde allí se aprecia una excelente panorámica de la Urbe, es tradicional por las peregrinaciones en Semana Santa.



ESTATUA DE CRISTO REY: Es una gigantesca imagen ubicada en la cima del cerro Los Cristales. Tiene 26 metros de altura.


EL GATO DEL RIO: Ubicado sobre la margen izquierda del Río Cali, Av. 4ª Norte Oeste. obra del reconocido pintor y escultor Hernando Tejada
